Golfers, both new and experienced, point to the Titleist line of 909 drivers as some of the most powerful and effective clubs on the market. These clubs, fans say, are balanced to provide golfers with both distance and accuracy on their drives.

The Titleist 909 D2 Driver is no exception.

This driver, a 440cc titanium driver with a full pear profile, will help golfers improve both the distance on their drives and the accuracy of these opening shots.

Some golfers have gone so far as to say that the 909 D2 has added anywhere from 25 to 35 yards on their drives. That’s an amazing improvement, and one sure to result in lower scores on a regular basis.

Like other Titleist 909 series drives, the 909 D2 model is designed to produce a mid-level launch point with either low to medium spin. This, of course, results in maximum shot speed, sending balls deeper and straighter down the fairway.

Also like its cousins, the 909 D2 is a stylish club. Those who use it will not only perform well on the course, they’ll look good while doing it, too.

There are some caveats, though. The 909 D2, while a powerful club, is not for everyone. It is not always the most forgiving of drivers; golfers who miss a bit on their swings may see their shots careening off course.

It’s also a pricey club, retailing in the high-$300 to low-$400 range. Newer golfers might want to start out with a less expensive driver. They can then move up in class to the 909 D2 – or perhaps Titleist’s equally impressive 909 D3 – once they’ve played a few rounds.

For golfers, though, who are looking for both more power and distance in their drives, the Titleist 909 D2 is a solid investment. Yes, it’s a bit pricier than many drivers on the market, but sometimes you do have to pay more for a quality club.
